We are offering virtual therapy or teletherapy sessions.
Our goal at Morgan Somer Therapy is to provide access to exceptional mental health services, and we remain deeply committed to ensuring access to care during this uncertain time. For us, this means supporting our clients however possible during this adjustment period.
When our offices can re-open safely, you’ll have the option of seeing your therapist in-person if you’re in New York or combining tele-therapy with in-person visits.
Here are some tips for making the most of your virtual session:
Sit in a comfortable and quiet area
Try to remove any distractions
Let any housemates know you will be unavailable for the next hour
Hang a “do not disturb” sign on your door
Silence your phone
Check that the volume on your computer or headset is working properly
Minimize or place a post-it on the portion of the screen if you are uncomfortable looking at yourself
